In Memory of Sammy
1994~2004

Sammy had to be put to sleep today. He had injured himself and was in a lot of pain. We are all saddened by the loss of this gentle and loving animal. In memory of his life, I have put together this page.
I hope you will take a moment and remember with us, the impression he left on all of us.

he is fond of you; but if a cat does the same thing, it is because your lap is

Some responses to Sammy's passing:
No one bothered to inform me about Sam's
passing...I can only assume that Mom, Dad and Jud were grieving too much to call
me. How is Jud handling it?
I loved the testimonials/eulogies by Sweetie, Scully and the Turtle. Truly
deeply moving. May I ask where Sammy was interred? Is the family accepting
memorial tributes to Sammy or do they have a favorite charity we should
contribute to in lieu of flowers? How are Jill and the girls holding up?
Deeply saddened in Arkansas,

I've made a contribution to Canine Overeaters Anonymous (one of my favorite charities) and Sweetie and I are wearing black armbands today in honor of Sammy. He was indeed a noble if somewhat corpulent comrade.
Rest well, Uberdachshund.
